About

Liane Al Ghusain (b. 1987, Kuwait) is a Palestinian-Kuwaiti artist with a multidisciplinary practice, spanning video, performance, text, embroidery, and sculpture. She holds an MFA in Art & Media from NYU Abu Dhabi and BA/MA degrees in English from Stanford. She also completed postgraduate work at the Ashkal Alwan Home Workspace Program in Beirut. Liane has exhibited internationally in Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Beirut, Detroit, Dubai, Grand Rapids, Kuwait City, Madrid, Manama, Sharjah, Tokyo, and Venice. She teaches tatreez and her embroidery work was featured in Narrative Threads: Palestinian Embroidery in Contemporary Art (Saqi Books, London).
